In 1997, when the newly formed Coastline Show Chorus needed a director, Gail stepped off the risers to fill the position. In her first 6 years as director, the chorus grew from 30 to 120 members, while she led the chorus to multiple regional 1st place medals with the highest scores ever received in a North Atlantic Region 1 contest. Having earned her credentials as a Master Director, she went on to direct Coastline at Sweet Adelines International contest to an International 9th place medal in 2003, an International 4th place medal in 2005, 4th place in 2007, 7th place in 2009 and 13th place in 2011. She retired in 2023.
